Our Courses

Our online, evidence-based courses give you new tools, perspectives and strategies you can use today.

Learn alongside a supportive community of like-minded parents as you invest in you, you family and your career.

The details...

Who are the courses for?

We’ve had mums and dads join us with children aged from 3 months to 21 years. We’ve worked with parents at all different stages of their careers, looking to return to work, wanting to progress, leading teams, and from all different industries.  Whatever your job, whoever you are, wherever you live - there are things we all find difficult, and there are times when we all need new skills and a different perspective.

How do the courses work?

All content is delivered via your preferred podcast provider and you get a new module each week. Each module contains four audios or videos which are between 7 and 15 minutes long, you also get a transcript for each and there is a practical takeaway for you to complete which takes around 20 minutes. Each week we hold a weekly LIVE online session (you can read more about this below). And you can progress through the module however suits you best.

What are the LIVE online sessions?

Our LIVE online sessions are a weekly 40 minute zoom call. We use the time together to explore the key themes in the module, share your experiences and reflections, complete the practical take-away and answer any questions you have. You can submit your questions at any point in the week or during the call. Anything we aren't able to answer there and then we will follow up afterwards. All LIVE sessions are recorded so you can always go back and watch them again, or catch up at a time that suits you.

What if I can't make the LIVE session?

All sessions are recorded and shared online. So if you miss it or just want to watch it again you can always catch up. We've had parents join the LIVE sessions from TV studios, the canteen, theie co-working space and even their car. You can be eating your lunch, nursing your baby or sorting the washing. Come as you are, whenever you can and tap into the precious connections we are building together.

What do I need to be able to do the course?

You will need a smart phone or laptop to access the course material. A reasonable internet connection and a quiet space helps you get the most from the online LIVE sessions and a WhatsApp account lets you join the private group discussion. Other than that, a notebook, pen and an open mind are all you need to get the most from this investment in yourself.

Meet Your Host

Jess Lancashire, has been championing the development of Working Parent Network since 2020 and hosts all our courses. It was Jess’ own experience of trying to combine a corporate career with a young family that led her to spend four years working with anthropologists, psychotherapists and a wide range of scientists to understand what parents can do to get a better balance. That research and our conversations with thousands of parents has led to the development of our courses. Through our courses Jess shares all of this learning with you in a safe and supportive environment.

You might also be thinking...

I'm not sure I've got the time.

They say there's never a right time to have a baby and the same is true when it comes to investing in you. There's always too much to do and not enough time. That's why our courses exist! So if you wait until you know you've got the time you might be waiting a while, so why not get started today!

I'm just so exhausted.

We get it. There are times when the idea of making anything any different can feel impossible - and we know that’s when change is needed most. So we’ve thought really hard about how we design the course experience so it feels like small building blocks you can navigate easily, at your own pace, in the way that suits you. And we’re always here to help if you get stuck, lost or overwhelmed.

How much time do I actually need for a course?

Each week there are four audios to listen to that last between seven and 15 minutes. There's a practical takeaway that takes between 20 and 30 minutes to complete and the weekly online LIVE lasts 40 minutes. So it's works out at around two hours a week. It's entirely up to you whether you spread this out over the week or save it up and do it in one go - you'll know what works best for you and your schedule.

Can my employer pay for my course?

Absolutely. They can pay by credit card here on the website and an invoice will be issued. Discounts are available for bookings of 10 or more course places so please ask them to get in touch at hello@workingparentnetwork.com if they would like to discuss this.

I'm self-employed, is this a tax deductible expense?

You will need to check with your accountant but training and development costs to support you in your current role usually qualify as a tax-deductible expense.

What if I do the course but it doesn't work for me?

We have a 100% money back guarantee. If you complete the course in full and feel within two weeks of the course ending that nothing has changed then just let us know. We'll schedule a quick 15 minute call so we can get your feedback and as soon as that is complete we'll issue your refund.

I've read somewhere about fully funded course places, what are these?

We work with a range of employers and industry bodies to help as many parents access our courses as possible. Subscribe to our newsletter to get access to all current access codes or keep an eye on our socials for new access codes.
